| Hummingbirds 2003 This is the second year in a row that Anna has been with us. In April of 2002 she chose a nice jade tree over our pond to build a nest and raise Rita. It was really compelling. Anna returned in March of 2003, rebuilt her nest site, and gave birth to Ringo. Of course we have no idea if they are boys & girls! The names just come about, and seem to have a Beatles theme.
Chris planned ahead for Anna's return. Last year she planted lots of Fuchsia, Chinese Lanterns, Coral Bells, and Red Hot Pokers. Her hard work paid off. When Anna returned, she found plenty of food in the garden around the pond. These images were taken during March and April of 2003, click them for a larger view. |
